Studying During the Day vs. Night
Debates are fun and intriguing, but unfortunately they're also a bit time-consuming. I recently read an article claiming that you should never study all night. Here's what I think about the issue.
Rubbish. I've said it before and I'll say it again: studying is very much a matter of perception. That means what works for one person might not work for another! Some people have clearly adapted to studying at night (although I'm not one of them), so this anti-night reasoning doesn't apply to them. I do understand that the human brain works in a fairly similar way for all of us, but lest we forget, the brain itself can clearly adapt to a certain pattern.
The statistics the author uses are quite misleading, but then again, statistics can never really explain individual behavior. Homer Simpson put it most eloquently:
"Oh, people can come up with statistics to prove anything, Kent. Forty percent of people know that." – Homer J. Simpson
